Quick's Graphics has instructed the web design class at Boise Community Education for over more than four years now.

Students have commented on how much they have learned and the time they will save with the information that was presented.

What I appreciated about the website design class was that it did not just focus on basic page authorship using HTML or one of the software packages like FrontPage. The perspective regarding all the elements needed to make a website user friendly (pre-authorship design steps) was helpful. The introduction to all the other elements of making a site accessible on the web were particularly valuable to me. Time spent learning about FTP, hosting, domain registration and making the site searchable were what I found most valuable about the course.

Anita's class was well organize, informative and enjoyable. Her clear presentation and demonstrations were supplemented with easy to follow hand outs as well as a useful CD of samples and templates. This workshop conducted by Anita Quick of Quick's Graphics was a superb introduction to website design for photographers. Actually, anyone wanting to learn about website design would have benefited from this workshop. Since most of us knew very little about the basics of having a website, Anita began by helping us understand how to register a domain name, which is essential for having a URL address on the internet, and several other aspects including what to require when selecting a web hosting service.She then proceeded to explain and demonstrate the steps that are required for designing and creating a website. For those who wish to try their hand at developing their own website, Anita provided a CD with design templates, photo galleries and html site files. Not yet being very familiiar with Photoshop, I had some trouble following all the the steps. However, I came away with an understanding of the main issues to be considered and addressed when setting up a new website. I highly recommend this workshop.
